Carry One Another’s Burdens

Conners Grad silly pixLet’s say it.  Let’s just be honest.  Life sucks sometimes.  Can I hear an Amen!

The expectations we place on others and on ourselves leave much to be desired.  And perhaps the reason for our bad attitude.  Unmet hopes can often leave us angry and bitter if not placed in the proper perspective.

And what is the proper perspective?  The opportunity to carry a person’s burdens with them instead of placing the burden on them.  To take our expectations to the Lord and not our friend.

We all have burdens to carry and it is so much easier to bear when we have a friend to help us along the way.  To listen, nurture and protect.  Not to blame, accuse or condemn.

Our standard is Jesus Christ.  Not our friend.

Galatians 6:2 tells us to carry each other’s burdens, and in this way we will fulfill the law of Christ.

What are some ways you can help your friend carry his/her burden?
